What Levels of Participation Exist?

There are three levels at which an individual or company can participate in development and usage of AutomationML, each with its own set of benefits:

  1. Academic Contributors - have full working group participation but no voting rights.
  2. Contributors - have full working group participation and voting rights, and in future generous marketing benefits.
  3. Promoters - act as the "Board of Directors" to set the direction of the Group.

How Do I Apply for and Execute a Membership Agreement?

Please download the documents for a Contributor, Adopter or Promoter Membership. In those documents you will find complete instructions for faxing your signature pages, mailing your originals to our office, and arranging for payment of dues:

  • Download  the dues schedule for information about costs of being a member.
  • Download  the bylaws for information about the organizational institutions, rules and IP.
  • Download  the membership agreement ("Beitrittserklärung") to finally become AutomationML e.V. member.

!Attention!Due to the fact the AutomationML e.V. is a german organisation all legal documents are written in German!

How Much Does it Cost to Get Involved?

Participation in and usage of AutomationML range from

  • Free for Developers
  • $ 500 annual Academic Contributor Membership
  • $ 2,500 annual Contributor Membership
  • $ 9,000 annual Promoter Membership -- when elected to join by current Promoters Board.

What Benefits Do We Get From Our Paid Membership?

  • You may listen or participate in all active work groups and any marketing work groups
  • Contributors and Promoters have voting rights in the development of these specifications
  • You get to participate in speaking opportunities at AutomationML Events that let you get your messages out there: so the price of your membership is quickly recovered through marketing value alone!

You may also get to speak on behalf of AutomationML on panels at industry events, and take requests for interviews from press.
