CARF AML Export by LuArtX

The CAD software CARF for factory planning and technical building equipment supports the export of material flow data with AutomationML. This allows data to be written out of CARF in AutomationML and opened via the AutomationML Editor, for example. The AutomationML export in CARF is a result of the work in the DIAMOND project.
You can find more information about this on the LuArtX website or from its Youtube channel.
DIAMOND project and its results
DIAMOND is dealing with the complex transformation challenges of the automotive industry and developing a common data model for the digital engineering of production systems in order to enable shorter project lead times and thus faster integration of new vehicles and drive technologies into the plants.
The project is funded by the European Union and supported by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).
Domain-specific results of the project can be found below.
Results and drafts

Application Recommendation: Building Services Engineering – DRAFT
In the planning of production systems, the exchange of building services data plays a crucial role. Various stakeholders such as OEMs, BIM managers, planners and architects provide essential information used for creating diagrams, bills of materials and documentation. To avoid redundant work and ensure smooth information flow, an interface for data exchange is necessary.
This draft of an upcoming application recommendation introduces a modeling method based on AutomationML to efficiently structure building services data by describing the use of roles, interfaces and attribute classes for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical and sprinkler systems.
It offers valuable insights for anyone interested in standardized and future-proof data integration in building services engineering and can be found via the following button.
Application Recommendation: Layout Planning – DRAFT
A key task in production system planning is the layout and structural design of the building. Data from various stakeholders like (project) management, planners, simulation experts, designers and safety specialists are collected and processed to create layouts for conveyor systems, construction, foundations, documentation and safety concepts. This information is shared among all involved parties and to prevent redundant engineering, systems require interfaces for efficient exchange of all these types of information.
This draft of an upcoming application recommendation defines the data needed for each stage of layout and structural planning: early layout phase, preparation and creation of execution layouts, integration of detailed layouts and coordination of concept and construction layouts.
It offers a modelling method of layout planning by means of the engineering data from AutomationML and can be found via the following button.
