The full two-day programme for the AutomationML Conference 2026 is now online. The conference takes place on 22–23 September 2026 at Hochschule Pforzheim, Germany, and marks 20 years of AutomationML.

Day 1 – Tuesday, 22 September
The afternoon opens with a keynote by Arndt Lüder (Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg / AutomationML e.V.) on 20 years of AutomationML, followed by Stefan Hoppe (OPC Foundation) on the OPC Foundation × AutomationML collaboration.
The contributed talks then turn to modular automation: two perspectives on the Module Type Package, from Pforzheim University of Applied Sciences and from Semodia GmbH; a report on how the DIAMOND project’s PPR research model became community tooling; and the new AML core property libraries for engineering. Day 1 closes at 18:00, with an optional dinner at 19:00.
Day 2 – Wednesday, 23 September
Andreas Graf Gatterburg (Hilscher Gesellschaft für Systemautomation mbH / AutomationML e.V.) opens the second day with a keynote on Manufacturing-X and AutomationML.
The morning continues with the AutomationML Editor and its plugin ecosystem — AI-assisted plugin development, and native graphical process modelling according to VDI/VDE 3682 — and then moves to modelling languages and semantics: a lightweight engineering modeler bridging SysML v2 and AutomationML, AutomationML as an exchange format for tool-independent DSL specifications, the FD4AML mapping of AutomationML to ontologies, and a methodology for the semantic integration of production planning data in digital factory planning.
After lunch, a joint session of the OPC Foundation and AutomationML e.V. looks at the collaboration and the outlook, before the conference closes at 15:00.
