This whitepaper contains articles describing the data exchange format itself as well as the opportunities that such a structure provides. To ease the application of AutomationML interfaces in software tools possibilities and requirements for the implementation are considered. Furthermore, application examples give an overview of where AutomationML is already used or could be used.
